OCOA CNA Training Program

The Oaklawn Center on Aging Nurse Aide Training Program provides education for individuals seeking a career in caregiving and training for family members and/or significant others caring for an older adult in a variety of settings.

This course provides information and skills training necessary for the providing hands-on personal care for individuals who need moderate to maximum assistance.  Graduates can perform services in private homes, for home health agencies, in other settings under the supervision of a licensed nurse and in nursing homes and qualify to take the state CNA exam.

Certified Caregiver Training

Courses are designed to assist individuals in advancing their caregiving skills and competency. The course meet state and federal guidelines and are taught by licensed nurses and other health care professionals. Students who successfully complete certified classes are eligible to take the Arkansas Certified Nurse Aide Exam.

Family Caregiver

Family Caregiver Training

Family Caregiver Workshops are designed to increase family members’ knowledge of caregiving and introduce them to caregiving skills needed to care for an older adult in the home. Information on caregiver resources are also provided.
